Convert from Forward to Mid?
Hi All,
I've been toying with the idea of picking up a Sportster 1200 as a second bike; I really like the XL50's in black or something like the 2006-2007 1200 XLR. I've noticed however that there are a ton of XLC1200's around and wondered if its an issue to convert them to mid controls rather than the forward controls they come with? Just sort of putting out feelers and figuring out my options.
Thanks in advance

harley marketing ppl and engineering ppl are just clever enough to sell you a forward control kit unless you have a full fledge machine shop (and design) around.
so although it seems they'd just fit some mods not they don't.
been there done that. and i'm pissed!
ah if you buy'em the forward controls and have a lift and an hour. it's pretty much a straight forward install with no adjustments needed. that is some proper hd engineering yes!
