Default What is fork walk

This is kinda a newb question but I think I need to ask. I have noticed several people on here talking about fork walk when they removed their front fender. I have removed my front fender almost a 1,000 miles now and I have not noticed any difference in the handling.

Could someone explain to me what fork walk is.

Thanks

I don't recall anyone talking about fender removal causing trouble. It's cheap sheetmetal...it doesn't provide much of anything other than keeping crap off of your face.

Someone mentioned it in a thread that I made, talking about helping me mod my Iron on paper.
The poster suggested getting a fork brace if the front fender were to be removed, and then another poster replied that it was basically nonsense and no trouble would come from removing the front fender.
I have no real world experience, but based on the examples set on many of the forum members here, and countless Youtube videos and pics on the net, removing the front fender is a very common practice that apparently causes no ill effect.

I don't know half of what most of the guys on here do and that just sounds totally ridiculous to me

Like Mreed said its a piece of sheetmetal it's not holding anything together
