Default Installed new clutch cable..problems

I recently installed drag bars and had to change the clutch cable to a much shorter cable...I thought I had everything adjusted and good to go...so I put in the Gear oil and put all the covers back on...

I then sat on the bike..put it in gear and it rolled just like it was in neutral...It doesn't matter what gear I put it in...it behaves like it's in neutral..

What did I do this time?

Did you tighten the adjuster screw in the clutch pack too tight? It's a left hand thread, and with the cable as loose as it will go, you should "back it off" (turn it to the left) until you feel resistance, then screw it in a quarter turn. Then you can adjust the free play out of the cable.
