The 2000 1200 custom was one of the best rides Harley ever made.
It was at the top of the curve before the fi/rubber mount thing, the best they had. Easy to work on,low maint, no map the comp thing,stage one runs as fast and quick as a normal person putts around.

Just as a point of reference I bought my first Harley, after decades owning European and Japanese bikes, two of which I still own. I paid $6,500 for a 2009 1200 Low Sportster with 700 miles on it for $6,500. It has fuel injection and rubber mounted engine. I think you can do better. You should really consider EFI and rubber mounts as your minimum requirement.
