Reckon you ain't never heard that 100 milliamps will kill you. You'll get several hundred amps when you short a battery, and what saves your butt is that it ain't going through your heart muscle. And I've seen several batteries blow up when they were shorted, with one poor dude losing the sight in one eye completely, and seein' nothin' but haze outta the other. Be careful, and iffen you're a tad clumsy, flop a rubber mat over the terminal you ain't wrenchin' on.

 

easy answer, use a small socket[sm=boink3.gif] I only say that because I did the same thing wrenching on the cage.[sm=laughat.gif]

Your one very lucky person. I always wear protective glasses and always protect the opposite poles. I've warn the people I work with about this, lucky one individual paid attention, his words were I thought it was a bomb.

Sounds like all the other questions you had have been answered. Just remember I'm laughing with you not at you. But that was a funny way to start my day here.

 

Years ago, I was watching a buddy of mine try to remove the battery from his race car with a pair of vice grips. He shorted it out on his wedding ring, & the ring turned red hot instantly. I've never seen a man remove a ring so fast. Left a nasty blister,(and a scar), all the way around his finger. OUCH!!
