Never understood fingerless gloves and why that was part of the "image" but as I ride during these hot and humid summer months, I think I finally figured it out.

Being so damn hot, safety kind of goes out the window and I find myself riding in a shirt and no gloves. My hands and arms are dark except the top portion of my fingers from my knuckles to the finger tips as they are always underneath the grips and do not get any sun...

kind of looks like fingerless gloves...

So, for those who spend more time polishing the chrome than riding, and do not possess this rider's tan, the fingerless gloves give a similar image

Did I get that right?

 

If you're wearing fingerless gloves your hand wouldn't be tanned and your fingers would be.

 

Yeah, but you have to remember for someone who isn't riding a whole bunch that wants to mimic the tan of someone who rides often, the fingerless glove gives you that "look".

Besides, polishing chrome indoors with the fingerless gloves on won't get you any sun anyways

 

Man, some people get waaaaaaay better pot than I do. =\

 

 

always end up with the round dark spot on top of each hand where the gloves get closed with the velcro strap, doc even asked me about them...I said , ahhh just riding glove dots.

I completely misunderstood your post lol

 

If your fingers are always under the grips they wouldn't get any sun no mater what you are wearing.
