my impressions of the quality is great, I would say they are well made, solid and reliable. Really do try the customer care. Sounds like you may have just been unlucky

I have never had an issue with any kuryakyn products or no anyone that has. This might be a special case. Where all the packages factory sealed?

I'm starting to see that maybe I should have.

All the packages still had they're seal on them......as far as I can tell. I'm guessing they might have been sitting on the shelves for a while. Still, just put a light coat of oil on them at the factory.

Ordered a set of grips from Kuryakyn and they sent me the wrong ones. Made me pay for return shipping.

Lame.

I have ordered from both Kury directly and distributors. I am 85% very pleased with their products, design is quality is pretty good. I did order a set of convex mirrors from a distributor, but they were mis-marked and flat glass. I called Kury and they referred me to vendor - I thought that was kind of stinky. Kury charges list plus shipping, so if you are ordering a lot of parts for a new (used) bike, there is a huge price difference over time. Kury's directions/photos are typically really poor, but their fit and design is typically really good. It's a little hit/miss; was installing their anti-rotation passenger foot peg mounts last night. You have to back out a 8mm hex bolt to adjust the angle of the peg mount. Somebody used so much blue locktight (stuff stuck like red), I almost didn't get it to back out even with 90 psi 3/8 impact wrench. This is not the biggest impact, but try applying that kind of foruce while holding the odd shaped piece in vice without marring the chrome! I don't hesitate to order Kury stuff, but you do have to inspect right away and make sure it's what you want. Cheers, Kevin.
