Evo era 9 spoke cast wheels on 04 Sportster
Wondering if it is possible to install 9 spoke cast wheels from 1993 FXR onto my 2004 XL1200C? Are the wheel bearings going to be a problem, also what about the brake disc and the pulley? Really would like to have the same style wheel on the front and back, instead of cast on rear and 21" spoke on front. Other than pricey after market wheels is there a better alternative??

It's not that big of a job. I put some on my wife's 04 XLC.
The ones I used were from my old Superglide (same wheels that were on the 93 FXR). The bearings aren't a problem at all as long as you understand how to install them properly.
The only 2 hurdles with running those wheels will be new wheel spacers because the spacers extend into the bearing seal unlike your current sealed bearing and adapting the modern brake rotors & pulley. The bolt pattern is the same but since the tapered bearing wheels have a smaller o.d. bearing register you'll have to cut a small ring for each rotor and the pulley to take up the gap. The rotors & pulley are "hub" centric. That means they can be offset if you don't match the gap properly (or at all). Overall it was pretty easy.
But, on her 03 XLC I just bought a matching rear wheel for around 300 from American Classic Motors ready to install.
