Default 2006 1200L wont start

I bought the bike almost three months ago. It ran fine then one day i went to start it and it wouldnt start. It just makes a clicking noise. All the lights come on most of the time but every once in a while they won't. I checked all the connections and battery they are all fine. Im fairly new to bikes any ideas on what it could be? I want to get back to riding as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

So your saying it won't turn over? It could be a numer of things so I would start with the easiest things to do first. You said you checked the connections, I would undo them, clean them good, and put them back on tightly. It could be that your battery is just shot, so put a charger on it and make sure it is fully charged. If that doesn't fix it then we need to check the solinoid and or starter but what you described sounds like the starter just isn't getting enough juice. Last week I shut my bike down with the kill button and forgot to turn off the key and I had a dead battery in the morning. I put the charger on it and after about 10 min. I tried to start it and I got that same clicking sound you heard. I left the charger on for another couple hours and then it started just fine.

if it's clicking, it really could be battery related. Recheck all the connections, the charge on the battery and load test it as the others recommended. Use a multimeter to get a read off of it both sitting and when trying to start the bike. Also check to see that none of the cables are frayed, possibly causing a short.
