do those V&H slipons sound great? Got them for X-mas gift for wife
V&H slip ons sound amazing. My husband put them on my bike without the quiet baffles. I love it. I'm not sure the neighbours will love me thought when I start the bike up at six in the morning to go to work! I think your wife will be happy with them!

BTW...the Top End Gasket Set is $94 at the stealership
Tanx bruddah. I found the shop on eBay. I have one more question for you that you may or may not be able to answer. Maybe someone on here can.

I have the silver matte finished engine. I want to get the black cylinders but my heads would still be silver. I want to paint the heads to match the cylinders. Can I use high-temp paint on those or am I asking for a nightmare?

Check out the photobucket link on 2nd post on this thread. I used black milled cylinders and my original heads. Next year I'll do the cams, black milles heads and chrome rocker covers. But for now I think it looks cool. As far as the paint Andy, why don't you start a new thread..get more visibility. G'Luck Bro.

Yeah, I know what you mean....

I know that it's just a 'cosmetic issue', but there is something about the black engine that just looks so right, on a Sportster or any other Harley.

I was offered a super deal on a nice Softail Standard not long ago, but just couldn't get past the silver engine... That's bad, but oh well.. LoL...

I like G's. With 883 gears and a 1200..it's got GGGEEEEEEZZZZZZZs. I haven't really come off the line hard 'cause I'm still doing the break-in but after 500mi I'll put a video clip in the bucket & post a link.

Thanks for the pix. I think I am going to paint the heads when I do the conversion. Gotta have the black and silver.
