You really don't see anything wrong with the paint at all, it's just something in the situation and the camera that brings it out. Kinda like how you don't see the swirls in gloss paint until a flash hits it.

At least that's what happens when I take pics with a dim backlight and a high-flash.

It's not Harley, but this is what I could find.
It states you need to use the egg shell clear coat. Not sure how it would come out though....

Just wondering, if it says "95-later Engine and Transmission." wouldn't that mean it's used to touch up the black wrinkle on the engine and transmission?

Yes that is for the engine and trans. I would go to where Wahlumsurfer posted
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...denim-2013.cfm
and get the touch up pen. wet sand it a little and buff it with a cordless and a pad. It might look alright. If not get some of the "eggshell" gloss in an aerosol can and shoot the whole fender, wet sand/ buff. It really isn't that hard. I slid mine into a ditch last year and fixed my paint myself. It turned out almost perfect.

Those kits you buy to restore your headlights (from 3M) work great on little scratches on paint also. after I did my cars headlights I used the leftover sand pads and used them on my bike. It really worked great for a DIY'er. http://www.superiorcarcare.net/3m-he...FcrDKgod1jS1zQ I'm sure the cost of your deductable is higher than the cost of a little pen and the headlight kit. It might be worth it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Blaven 48, my iron is a bit dirty as it has been raining here, when I wash it it is still immaculate like the day I drove it from the dealer last September. Thats why I am soo pissed.

Reviewed footage, not much value but it does shoe some idiot squeezing past my bike. Not enough to charge though. A scratch like this is not an accident, it's intentional. There is pressure at the start of it where someone has pushed hard then dragged something over and away, ive seen lots of these in my job. Fugging sheeet!

Spoke to the dealer today, gonna see if I can get the whole fender redone at a good price. Excess with insurance will be steep so probably gona fork out my own $

The touch up is not a bad idea, butr i just can't do it. Ill do it properly and spray it whole.

Well got the fender resprayed, better job than how it left the factory lol! Got a great price too as the owner of the shop knows a couple of mates of mine. Put her all back together today and took it for a good ol fanging with a good mate.

Great to get back on it, been a week and missing riding so much!

In reality I suppose I will never know if the scratch was intentional or not. im over it and I think the Iron is too! Thanks fellas
