Here in the UK they've got a great little track up the road from me where they have bike track days. It's a cracking track & they go out with you to show lines if you need it.
£150 all day inc lunch. 8 hours.... ride 20mins, chat/rest/learn 40mins....repeat.
Bike needs to be road (not race) legal, but didn't like my jeans, fingerless gloves, & open face so gotta return with proper gear

Pretty much same format here. There are usually three groups: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Depending on the track you could be at top speed for a while so they don't play when it comes to gear.

The rules vary a little by track day org and track.

In general you need a FF helmet, leather boots and gloves, leather suit or heavy textile suit with 360 degree zipper (few textile suits pass - almost everyone wears leathers, you can rent them).

The bike usually needs all oil fittings and coolant fittings safety wired on, and tires, brakes, drive, etc all in excellent condition.

They'd probably fail your bike due to no front fender. Getting hit by 100mph road debris is not conducive to fun.

Example rules.

Protective gear

This isn't like drag "racing" where they'll let anything go as long as you have $20 and a helmet. One lap is a couple of miles and you'll do over 100 miles flat-out in a day. Lots of fun.

Seriously......?!??!?

Did you actually write this, and a bolt of lightening did not come down from the sky, and turn you to dust....

Sorry everyone, but JGos, is the biggest deceitful self-hyping JaGof.

Please show us, Mr. "I'm a CMRA Racer", where do you show up in ANY record of CMRA racing results, EVER; Mr. Super Stock and Super Bike?
(which if you ACTUALLY were a racer, you would know they are spelled "Superstock A" and "Superbike A").

Please validate, where is your name?

You aren't even registered for the 2013 racing season either, so you have nothing to stand on the grounds that you mis-spoke, and are coming into racing for this season; should you have back-peddaled to say you were just now starting, not that you've actually raced yet...

You're not even registered as a User on the CMRA forums either!?

You're not even a mid-level Advanced skill-set rider, let alone a RACER....

Sorry folks, am not an Internet-troll just lurking around to flame on someone.
I was informed of this posting by a friend today, and just cannot stand by with COMPLETELY FALSE braggart self-promotion like this. This is not the first site that this has occurred on either, with this person, as you may suspect.

Two wheels up, good riding to all!
