Default A dumb question, but here goes

Is it necessary to bleed the brakes on a sporty if you add a small amount of brake fluid?

No, not as long as the port in bottom of the master cylinder isn't uncovered (open to the air - not covered by brake fluid.) And you didn't loosen any of your banjo bolts (on the master cylinder or brake calibers) or loosen any of the bleeder fittings.

Any question about making your brakes work correctly is NOT a dumb question.
Dumb is NOT asking if you don't know.

If the fluid is down and you have done nothing to it and no leaks, IMO I would be
checking the pads for wear.

+1 if you do replace your pads, pushing the pistons in will cause the fluid level in the resivor to rise. If you top it off now, you may make a mess when you do replace your pads.
