People that KNOWINGLY ride in the rain are idiots. If it happens by chance - fine. It's too dangerous, I think and very unnecessary.

Play your XBOX til the rain quits, then go riding

htw8, If you feel insecure about rain riding then don't ride it until your ready. Ya, rain won't hurt you, but it might if your nervous. Get use to the bike, then ride it like you stole it. Even in the rain.

South Texas will take any rain you don't want. We can't buy a rain drop down here.

Ride mine out in the rain all the time. On days that are raining I rarely go out for a cruise (though sometimes it's nice), but I ride my bike to work (no car), so if it's raining, I'm going. It's not particularly bad...just make sure you're steady with the brakes and don't twist the throttle suddenly.

Someday you are going to need to ride in the rain. And you going to wish you had learned how to control your bike, when you had time. Read some previous posts on this. Some of us actually use our bikes for transportation, not just bar hopping.
Below is a post I made on this thread;
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=657923&highlight=ron750

Many previous threads on this. Do a search. Quick start guide:
1. Avoid middle of road where oil, transmission fluid from cages accumulates. Many will say washes off but on heavily travelled roads may not.
2. Road paint extremely slippery, like turning arrows, crosswalks. Like water on ice. Approach cautiously, without excessive lean or speed.
3. Metal, like railroads, sewer grates slippery. Slow down!
4. Wear full face helmet so you can see where the h##l you're going. Take it easy. Good luck.

It's only dangerous if you don't know how to ride.

You didn't have to wait for the title to insure and ride it.
