Default How long to keep a Sportster?

Just thought we would do a little survey to see how long the average guy keeps his present ride. So, if you guys don't mind, tell us: 1. How long you've had your Sporty and: 2. How long do you plan to keep it before you sell it or trade it in on a different bike. This should be interesting.

I'm going to get rid of my 1999 1200S Sportster if I don't quit having so many electronic problems.

I've had mine four years. It's an 06'. If I do anything I may sell mine and buy a slightly older one. I'm partial to the older ones. By old I mean 03' and down. But, if I keep spending money on mine I may keep it. I'll always have a Sportster. They're my favorite. Not even close on any other models. But, if I ever want my wife to go anywhere with me, I'll have to get a bigger bike. So, I guess I'll have two. Sportsters are the best!

once i get some more garage space (meaning sell a cage), i hope to get a deluxe and then some day an ultra to round out the collection... as others mentioned, i cant imagine a garage without a sporty in it. so no plans to sell mine-

I've had mine for 4 months. I think the only other bike I'd like is a soft tail. Thinking maybe in a year or two I'll try to get one but I don't want to have to ket go of the sporty to get it.

I've had mine for about 8 months and I don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon. The only bike I'd sell it for would be a custom chopper that I build myself (gotta learn how haha)

Why would we get rid of it in the first place?
