Default Dark Custom Opinion

I just installed the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1. I ordered the one without the cover. I was looking throught the HD parts book and noticed a dark custom exposed air filter cover. Or something to that effect. Assuming it would work on my new set up. Since my bike isn't a "dark custom" would it be dumb to get the breather cover? It's the one they show with the HD rain sock. I really like the way it's made and there is no other one made like it. What do you guys think?

You know, as much as I've been on here I can't figure out how to attach an image. I just looked on the website, if you search parts, search for rain socks. It will give about 12 options. Pick rain sock trim or something to that effect. It will show a picture of a round element with rain sock and the cover I am reffering to.

Winner winner chicken dinner! That is the one. Now, would it be stupid if that was on my bike? Seeing as how my bike isn't a dark custom. Thats the only one they make like that. I checked all of them.

I have it on my FLHX, and it's not a dark custom.

It's about what you like, screw everybody else's opinion.

If u like it....buy it!
I just installed engine guards on my bike....some people like it some dont...who cares. I get tons of compliments on the bike, but i think its pretty much a plain jane bike.

How does it mount? Two pieces I assume. Do you use the hole in the middle? Then mount the outer plate?

Yep. It's two-piece, the mounting plate goes on first with the bolt in the center, then the outer plate with the five small screws. The rain sock is an extra $20.

I like it because it makes for a nice, clean look. Not huge and gawdy like some of the **** some guys are running. But hey, what do I know, right?
