Mustang Daytripper Seat Review
There were some negative reviews for this seat so I almost did not buy it, but I now question whether or not those that reviewed it actually replaced their stock seat with it or whether they had an unusual body (behind) build.
First of all, this seat doesn't have the high abrupt step up to the passenger seat that the stock seat has. This alone solved a problem I had with the dual stock seat for me.
Secondly, it is a little thinner which for me is a plus. I only rode for about an hour but it really felt far less tiring than the stock seat. The filling is a little stiffer, but it actually seems to help. It also leaves better access to the oil filler, which the stock seat came too close to.
It also looks quite a bit better as it follows the lines of the bike a lot better. It doesn't use the center bolt as a lock down but only as a center support, so it comes on and off without all the wiggling necessary with the stock seat.
I recommend it as a very cost effective 100% improvement over the stock dual seat.

yes it is a 100% improvement over stock... and good for around town as long as you arent on back. for longer rides and if you carry a +2, nothing beats the wide mustang. i get what you are saying about how it looks compared to the stocker too-
had all 3 on my bike and the wide mustang is my fav since i haul a +2 from time to time... and she agrees!
