Scaphoid fracture and dislocation. It will require surgery and I'll have a screw and some pins in my wrist. I think I'm going to schedule the surgery for after the valley run. Doc didn't seem to think I'd be doing much riding for awhile after surgery.

In all seriousness get a wrist brace or something for the group ride. Wouldn't want you to make it even worse than it is. If I was a doctor, I'd probably recommend you get surgery ASAP and sit out this ride but I'm sure you won't listen and as a friend, it doesn't fly with me either

 

yeah man even though you totally ganked us at smokeout (i cried a little) we'll give you a pass on this one. hell, if you're up for it, i'd be willing to make a beer run for you during your recovery.

 

Eh, doc said as long as I don't mash it again, it won't get any worse. I do have a brace for it which definitely helps when I ride. I'm totally down for the trip.

 

Just checked the weather. Looks like scattered showers for the weekend.Everybody bring your rainsuits.I wonder if Windy has some kind of canopy to put up in case of rain or do we just go to the nearest bar?
