Just like the title says, would a stock OEM solo seat off a 2011 iron 883 fit a 2005 1200 custome with a 4.5 gallon tank? Thanks

I ran one on mine. Same bike as you have. It wasn't super easy to install and remove, but I managed to do it

Depends, if the stock Iron seat has the gap between the front of the seat and the rear of the tank then it should work, might have to give it a good push. I tried to put the stock 2-up seat form the XL50-it has the 3.3 tank on my 08 1200C and it did not want to go on since the fornt of the 3.3 seat is narrower, but I'm sure with some force it would work. Right now I have at seat from a 09 C on my XL50 and it works out good, gives the gap like a nightster. Also you can use a seat form the 07-09 bikes on the 04-06 bikes, but not the other wat around due to the ECM being upder the seat on the 07-09's
