Default nightster with RSD clip-ons

So I have been wanting clip on bars for my nightster for awhile but was skeptical as to how comfortable they would be and how they actually look in real life. And i was at the harley dealership and thet had a shiny new red on black nightster with clips on and flush gauge bracket and was like i gotta do it now.

my only questions are what lengths of cables should i buy and where is the cheapest place to get them? i found a place to get the RSD black clip ons for $175. But the expensive part will wind up being the cables right?

you don't need new cables for rsd clip on's. stock cable setup is just ok.

and if you want to hide the excess cables around use some clips.

Did you take some pictures of the on at the Dealer? I have a red one and thought about getting some clip ons. Although I want to get the longer forks so I can mount them above the tree.

i was looking at the stock bars on my bike and then picturing in my mind the clip ons and its like alone, the height difference from where the clutch lever sits on the stock to the clip ons is like 6 or so inches and i figured that would be too much extra cable to just "hide"

but if i ride by the allen dealer ill try to snap a picture so you can see how it looks.

I free way to achieve the clip-on position would be to take your stock nighty bars and flip them upsidedown

I had them up high. Right below the triple tree. Then I was ***** to the wall about them and slammed them down the fork tubes about 4". Clips are fully adjustable like that. Some people like them, some don't. I LOVE them. It feels like you're riding a cross between a crotch rocket and a cafe bike.

I put clip-ons on mine, installation was pretty easy. Drilling a hole for wiring and unhooking/running the wiring was the hardest part. Streetfighter, I started out on top of the trees, definitely going lower but I'm waiting til' I get 4" under cables. I'm 6'1"and rock mids though...for now.
