Haha, the old p*nis story once all over again.
You drive what you like, that is what riding is about.

I like the Iron, it's the first and only harley I want.
It will be payed for day 1, I will NOT have to eat bread only for 5 years...

You know it's al about insecurity, I am so damn confident I would walk into a biker bar with only ballerina shoes on and STILL know I am a real man

care what people say my friend, go and kick *ss on your IRON !!

I am with you. There is no such thing as a girl bike. I have a deluxe and people tell me all the time it is a girls bike. I do not get why people think it is a girls bike.

It doesnt really bother me. I always kind of found it funny how people make judgements about people they know nothing about.

Owned a Sporty...loved it & will one day own another (like Iron 883 or 48). Not once was it ever called a "feminine" name by anyone so guess I didn't have to counter the girl's bike label. We have a lady in our bldg @ work who rides a Valkryie...does that make it a "girl's bike?" Heck, you can call my Street Glide a girl's bike too because I've seen tons of women driving them (lower ride)...just don't sweat the small stuff & enjoy "your" ride...

Not only do I ride a girl's bike, I ride a PURPLE girl's bike! On the other hand, I've been married 34 years, I have 3 grown sons and the TKD in my screen name refers to taekwondo (because I was the full contact fighting instructor at my school for 11 years). I love my bike, purple has always been my favorite color and I am very secure in my masculinity. I'm also pretty confident that no one will tell me I look girly on my bike (at least to my face).

I have only heard this "girl's bike" stuff online. The only thing I have heard is that it is the "starter Harley" and that I will eventually want a bigger bike. We'll see.

My attitude is that you should ride what you like and shouldn't give a damn what anyone else thinks or says. Anyone who buys a Harley to prove how manly they are or picks their bike on that basis needs to reexamine their decision.

+1
it's all about pride man
I grew up on ratty clothes and one thing my granny said to me, as long as their clean, you can be proud and you don't need objects to be a man, it's in your heart and soul. I was further guided by doing half my career life in the military.
I stand up for my principles and if I'm pissed I don't care if your built like ARNOLD , I might not win the fight but I will go down swinging for what is right.

I just bought a 48 and all I can say is that the ride is what it's all about. People will always talk and say stupid things, most of the time it's just to get a rise out of you. Just shrug it off and smoke them at the light next time you see them
