Maybe the previous owner's dealer installed them incorrectly, removed the sound deadening material from the baffles or something like that. When I say loud, I mean it hurts my ears with a full face helmet on. I rode with ear plugs and the full face yesterday and it was almost bearable.

By the way, I have Yamaha 250 and 350 roadracers with open expansion chambers and own a Norton Commando with very loud Dunstall pipes and this Harley is much louder. It is much louder than other Harleys!!!!
