It did pretty good in it's stock configuration. I'm just going to change a few things. First of all I was running in 3rd place and broke my drive belt on the last lap, so I'm converting it to a chain drive. I also want to put flat tracker bars on it for more leverage. Just before my next race I'm putting dirt track tires on it. Add a paint job and that's it! I don't want to do too much because I still want to ride it to work every day on the 405 freeway.

Just after the start of the race. I'm in the white racing leathers

Yeah it was wild alright! No real safty rules. Just a big free for all! I wore my racing leathers and all my body armor from my Speedway Racing days. I'm an old man! I don't want to hurt myself! Haha! It sure was a fun time! I can't wait to race again on the next Harley Night!

First of all, welcome back to the Sportster section.. anyways, I'm a newbie here browsing through the Sportster threads..

Seriously the pictures seem like you're having a blast!!!

Kudos on your racing suit!!! love it!! haha..

since you've decided to go on your hd race nights regularly.. maybe you may just want to do a paint job on her - my 2 cents worth..

just to share my 97 883 Hugger with you below..

That race suit look like my ICON Daytona retro jacket and I love it! Looks like a ton of fun on the track and so nice bikes out there mixing it up. Post pix once you get the bike set up the way you want with the new paint.
