Sporty Bobbers

Well after last Saturday night I've decided to go a completely different direction. I bought my Sporty and started this thread wanting to build a bobber. Last Saturday I raced my Sportster at Harley Night at Costa Mesa Speedway. Man I had a blast! I want to race every Harley Night from now on! I can't race a bobber on a dirt track. It did pretty good in it's stock configuration. I'm just going to change a few things. First of all I was running in 3rd place and broke my drive belt on the last lap, so I'm converting it to a chain drive. I also want to put flat tracker bars on it for more leverage. Just before my next race I'm putting dirt track tires on it. Add a paint job and that's it! I don't want to do too much because I still want to ride it to work every day on the 405 freeway.

Yeah it was wild alright! No real safty rules. Just a big free for all! I wore my racing leathers and all my body armor from my Speedway Racing days. I'm an old man! I don't want to hurt myself! Haha! It sure was a fun time! I can't wait to race again on the next Harley Night!

since you've decided to go on your hd race nights regularly.. maybe you may just want to do a paint job on her - my 2 cents worth..
