Double Clutching?
#21
I'm not suggesting that the clutch is 'fixing' itself either. I just dont think the engine is "hesitating". I think its an older bike with 16000 miles and something needs to be adjusted....but engine hesitation doesnt sound like a viable culprit..

I do this every time I ride to back it out of the driveway, then I start it with the garage door closed so I don't wake people up as badly.
I agree it seems to be more of a transmission/gear issue, as if it isn't full going into first gear and slipping teeth for a second or 2 and then catching, vs a clutch issue. Sort of like with a manual shift car/truck that will jump out of 1st gear (JOG) occasionally with heavy acceleration. Sometimes its the shift boot interfering with it going fully all the way into gear, other times its something else..
Mine is rare and I'm able to work around it happening to prevent it.

I tried warming it up at work but it slipped again so I see that warming it up does nothing even in Florida. Saltwaterhop, yes. You described it to a tee. I'm at a point where I'm just gonna ride. It is what it is. Can't afford to pay anyone to look at it so I'm just gonna ride. Thanks everyone for the advice.
