i have a phantom pillion pad and hd quik release sissy bar, my 48 is our only vehicle besides a company roofing truck ( that is at my disposal if i ever need it...) i ride it to work and back everyday, we use it for grocery shopping, running around town.. just got back from a trip that was about 800 miles round trip- factory seat and suspension... and i have not noticed a " rougher ride " with her on the back. i am 6-1 200 pounds, she is 5-0 98 pounds soaking wet. hope this was of some assistance

I'm 5'5 155lbs and I've had my 48 for a few weeks now. One of my co-workers rides a Victory and he gives me crap about my 48 being too small a bike. He's 6'2 255lbs though. I just tell him "I'm not the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man, so take a hike Proffesor Klump"!

NEVER.

THIS!!!! its your bike, dont spent double the money on something besides what you want because somebody else wants you to buy it. she wants a bike, she can buy one or ride what you want for yourself. otherwise your promoting the selfishness. however if you want a softail or dyna, also buy it for yourself no matter what she says. if your buying a bike for her, buy her a bike

I don't think Harley makes a model anymore that makes 6'+ people look like circus bears.

i had an 08 fatboy for 2 up rides, wife went on back maybe twice a year,
so sold the fatboy and got the bike i wanted, the 48 is way better than the softail or the streetbob i had. but the 48 is not a 2 up bike.
