Default 2011 Forty Eight and intake

I have a new 48 and waiting on my V&H pipes...I've been looking at the Screaming Eagle breather. Can the Harley shop do a re-flash or do I have to buy a power commander of some sort?

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, just want to get a clear answer. I've heard these breathers open the bike up nicely.

Does anyone recommend another brand besides SE?

Default You can try nightrider

If you are going to stop at that(pipes and filter)then you can try the nightrider for the 14xied or the one that can be adjusted for afr mix
On my 48 I have slip-ons and k&n filter and the 14xied the bike runs great
Didn't dyno it yet but it feels stronger and free (just got 400 miles on it so far it will open up as the miles add up )
Have fun with yours

The Screaming Eagle breather is very nice for the money. If you are only doing the pipes and breather, then the X14iED is perfect for you. There is no need to get a tuner or re-flash.

X14ied is what its called. Google it and their site will come up. There are lots of similar named products so be careful. It's a pair of connections..

I'm pretty sure this is the website to get the right one from (someone correct me if I am wrong).

all you need to do is find the one for your bike on the page

http://www.nightrider.com/parts/

That's the right page, I'd recommend X14iED or ViED. The X14 is simple plug-n-play, the V is Variable, and would need to be dialed in.

The installation for the iED's is simple. Just find the 2 O2 sensors, which are in each pipe, and follow the wires to the first plug. Disconnect them and plug in the new set of "wires" that you get. Just plug and play.
