Default Throttle tensioner adjuster

Man I just discovered this today On the bike and boy am I having fun. I had a dirt bike that had one of these hehehe.
It works out great cuz 8 years ago I had an accident and my tenon for my thumb was cut but had a doc who fixed it up best he could. I thought oh boy there goes hitchhiking let alone riding again. Lolololol.
I was just recently thinking about getting some cruise control gadget as my thumb was getting stiff with all the riding I been doing on my new sporty.
Woohoo now I can light a smoke and keep riding hahaha.

I use to keep mine so when you let of the gas it would not spring back and keep the same speed, but then I took my bike in to the dealer for repair and the one advisor told me it's not good to keep it like that all the time and it will wear it out in there. I keep mine like normal, but close so that about one flip of the screw the it will stay like CC.

I just didn't Like using the choke till it finally warmed up and felt it was possibly fouling my plugs. Also I remember years ago someone telling me not to use the choke excessively as it over time messed up the carb flOat valve or something. I think my use of the choke might have been contributing to my below par gas mileage as I felt it was just pouring to much gas into the ole girl.

The Throttle Mate is inexpensive and just slips over the star wheel. It's easier to work with, especially if you have gloves on.

If I'll be on the interstate for an extensive amount of time I'll also do this. Just tighten it enough to where it'll hold the throttle in place but it can still function normally with no adjustment if need be.

I think you'll like it.
When you go to install it, you want to adjust the friction **** as tight as you can yet still have the throttle close on its own. Then when you install the lever, it should protrude out between the throttle open & close cables, with the lever all the way back against the close (rear) cable.

I got http://www.drcruize.com/ here in Canada and it is terrific on the highway- but never even thought that it could wear something out.......
