1200 conversion head gasket leak
05-1200 conversion....just tried to fire up the bike and i'm getting a burst of air out of the front and back cylinders on the left side at the head gaskets....i torqued everything to spec but am now questioning if i bottomed out the line up sleeves....any suggestions

Take it apart and start over. Follow those instructions I posted. Good Luck!
If you use Cometic gaskets (and some other makes) You do not use O-rings around the dowels.

Its Cometic gaskets. Its a brand name. Jims and Cometic make the best gaskets out there. I don't know what brand you used.

for a 86 - 03 you would put the O-rings back on the dowels. BUT as I said some gasket manufacturers were able to do away with them. I don't know if they upgraded the Harley gaskets sets.

Are you sure you torqued it back down to spec......I can't remember the exact spec's but I thought you had to mark the cylinder/head bolts after you torqued them to something like 120 ft/lb and then turning them another 1/4 turn. I had one of mine backing out after my Indy did the conversion, and I ddecided to go back and do the replacement myself.
