I find it funny that people are telling him to get rid of it if he can't accept that the bike is defective. Sorry folks, today's bikes don't leak. Even Harleys. If yours leaks, it's broken. Instead of joking about it or acting like a poser, fix it.

On another site one of the Pros was thinking thru all the rocker arm leaking with Evo and above. His idea was the Rider was romping on it before the scoot was warmed up. JonMon

sportster rocker covers leak. I have read the newer ones that are crome are subject to leaking. I got my bike new and it leaked within a year. had them replaced then the back one leaked again after the 2 year warranty ran out.

25 posts of "mine leaks" and "mine doesn't", and everyone comparing Apples and Oranges.

I've got 75,000 miles on mine and never had a rocker cover leak. Am I just lucky? No, I just happen to own a PRE 2007 Sporty.

Harley changed the design of the rocker covers and rocker gaskets in 07, and therein lies the problem, they suck.

It not a perfect solution to a bad design, but if you're replacing the gaskets, order a set from James or Cometic, not HD.
