Wrong, not every bike leaks oil. I've had and seen plenty of bikes (MUCH older and with FAR more miles than the OP's) that didn't leak a drop. Excusing stuff like this because it's "normal" or "it's a Harley, just get used to it" is just ignorant.
To the OP:
You have every right to be upset but no need to worry. I would expect ZERO problems (including leaks) from bikes as new as yours and I would be ticked at an oil leak on a 3yr old bike. Don't stress over it though as in order for it to leak enough to actually cause a real problem it would have to be POURING out. Just check your oil level from time to time as add as needed until you can get the gasket replaced.
Apparently rocker box leaking is a somewhat common problem. I never personally had any leaks on mine but others have. Just replace the gasket and hope it holds, that's all you can do. If it doesn't work and you're not willing to put up with an oil leaking bike, there are LOT's of great bikes out there to be had.
Also, the Synthetic oil has absolutely NOTHING to do with the leak. Synthetic oil causing leaks is an old wives tale that that has somehow managed to survive despite millions of riders who have proven otherwise.
