Polarized Sunglasses - - Did you know

nonsense? i think not dude. what do you think polarized glasses are for? to cut down on glare! hence the reason why you want to use them fishing because you can see right through the water. nothing like seeing a big bass, chuckin a lure in front of it and WHAM! don't know about you but i'd want to see that puddle in the middle of the road ahead of me.
And I don't even wear polarized anymore .

^^^that's all well and good and i'm no "water engineer" like you are so i'm just sharing my experience with polarized lenses. i never said it makes water invisible. actually i said, and i'll quote here, "to cut down on glare". i have a pair of wiley x glasses with polarized slip in lenses and i use them to fish. i can see clear through the water with them on with zero glare. i just wouldn't use them to ride, period. that's all i'm sayin'. feel better now?

Glare isn't the only way to see water, and the glasses don't cut 100% of glare. They minimize it. I've spent thousands of hours looking at water. I've shot many photos of water using polarized filters. It comes down to personal preference. Polarized glasses are NOT going to make standing water invisible, or even hard to detect. Hell, I'd argue it makes the standing water more visible, by cutting down the wet road glare.

It's why I only wear polarized sunglasses Charlie. You never know when that puddle might be holding a nice trout.
