Default Gas mileage on my 883

Went for a long ride yesterday, In the Adirondack Mtn.'s A lot of stop and go stuff. I have the three.3 gallon tank. I started with a full tank, then filled uo again at 110 mile. It took 1.8 Gals. I am not good st numbers, but I rhink that I could go about 55- 60 more miled, for a total of around 155- thru 160 miles mon a tank. That will be grate becuse I am takeing triom soon. so, the extra mpg will be nice.
Is this normail milesg for a 02 883?

I have too much fun Haulin azz on mine to think about mpg's.
I check em now and then just to make shure things are up to snuff.

2008 1200R
city stop n go,, 33-38 mpg
Back road farting around,,38-42 mpg
Superslab steady at 75 mph 49 mpg

3 or 4 mpgs,,, thats pennies saved
Just ride the thang.

What front and rear sprockets ate you running (teeth)...my stock 2006 needs less rpm on the top end, I don't really care about torque a the bottom...just want to putt around.

To be honest with you, I have no idea what sprokets are on the bike. I am guessing that they are the original one that came with the 2002 models. I bought the bike last year for 2000.00 from a private sale. It had a couple upgrades when I bought it... SE exhaust, chrome battery box cover, hiway motor guard, and a few other odds and ends.

I have added a lot of things to it now since I have had it. But I was amazed at the gas mileage! Like I said, I am going on a long trip with it at the end of June, so the gas mileage is really going to be a blessing.

Same. My light usually comes on anywhere from 90-110 miles. That's with the SE heavybreather, VH shortshots, and the dealer download, too.

Same with a 4" open AC, slipon's and Vied at 13.7.

I have NEVER gotten over 50mph but I ride it like I stole it.
