I just decided to take a ride (which I never do) in the middle of work, I only got 1 mile and the bike bogged out and died. I had to push it into a parking lot near me through all the traffic and then call my friend from work to come and take me to the gas station. I knew I needed gas but not that badly I only had 96 miles on this tank I'm ussually good for 110 + so.

The worst part of this whole thing was that I have been driving around with my fuel switch in the reserve position so I ended up with no reserve when the gas ran out [&:].

No question here just wanted to rant, I can't believe I did such a stupid thing.

 

Once can be forgiven. Do it again and "shame on you".

You can't go 100 mi on a tank including the reserve?

 

I can usually get about 110 - 120 before reserve but with the weather being so cold(causing longer warmups) and the traffic I sat in yesterday to and from work for over 35 minutes each way, I guess that threw it off.

 

I did that - cept I could not believe it was fuel related - so i loaded her up and went to the dealer

[sm=headbang.gif] i felt like a dumba$$ - slipped the service tech a 20 and told him to tell EVERYONE what a dumba$$ I was

as mentioned - do it once - ok but a lesson you won't likely repeat - and it was in march - long warm ups - rompin on it in the sunny afternoon - 117 miles when I typically got 150.
