I've had a Daytripper for a few weeks. I'm 6'4" and bought it to give me a bit of extra legroom. In all honesty I find it less comfortable than the stock seat. It makes my *** numb in about an hour of riding. The stock seat gave me a a little less legroom but never made my *** numb in only an hour of riding. Not sure how I feel about the Daytripper. I love the extra legroom but I REALLY hope it breaks in a bit.

I should have also added that the Daytripper looks to be much better constructed than the stock seat and in some way it looks better on the bike (over the rear fender). However, around the tank and over the oil/battery covers it doesn't fit as well as the stocker. The clips for the battery cover clearly show and the wires around the tank that are hidden by the stock seat are clearly visible. Put it this way: If I was not as tall as I am I would have chosen another seat. Given all the Mustang hype you'd think they'd actually revise the seat to improve it's fit with the 4.5 gallon tank. It has the potential to be awesome but I'm left scratching my head wondering if anyone from Mustang has actually looked at it on a bike. I have a 2009 XL1200C btw.

Thanks again avalonpb, that def made my mind up about the daytripper. I would also imagine the fastback seat would be the same way. I guess I'll just put my Sundowner seat back on for the comfort, even though it make me fill like I'm sitting on the tank.

Thanks Cazimere, That seat looks like it just might work out better for me. I need to check out some events around here and see if I can find a Sporty with that seat on it. I'm also digging that front wheel on your ride. NICE!!!

If ya like, i can post a couple closer up pics of the seat for ya.
I bought the seat at a vendor during Delmarva bike week last sept. They put it on and let me ride on it for a day to see if i liked it or not.
I'm 5' 10" 220# with a (girlfriend says) boney ***.
With stock seat on, 100 mi and my *** is sore. I've ridden 300 mi with the mustang and feel fine.
