Default Performance help please!!!

Hey guys need alot of help. I got a 2002 1200c. Stock carb. I have 2:2 BUBBY pipes (never heard of them). And aparently i have the stage one air cleaner. The bike feels honestly like it has crappy power. I want to change the pipes and the air cleaner. Also what can i do to bost the power and open her up. The pipes make my bike hard to feel when riding for shifting. I want a 2 into 1 seeing as it is the nesxt best thing when you chose stock pipes with slip ons. Also if i change out the pipes and a/c do i have to rejet again? I want more power what are some other things i can do to get power with out of her with out doing exstensive work. Also idk if its the pipes or me but when going through my gears they seem short. !st is 0-20 anything past seems like its reving to high. When i got from 1st to 2nd at 20mph then it feels like the revs are to low. Same goes for all the gears except when hopping on the freeway. Thanks for all the help from all you guys and your great knowledge. Also anyone in socal that can help me and teach me how to wrench on my bike? Thanks again

If it already has a stage 1, the next step is cams and headwork.

Sounds to me like you ain't revving it up enough in the gears before you shift it, makes the motor lug in the next gear. You ain't going to hurt it by revving it up some, Sportsters like the RPM's. Do not lug it unless you want to replace the primary chain and sprockets, Lugging is BAD.

+2 - Redline in first gear on a 1200 is ~47 mph. No reason to go to 2nd gear before 30 mph, which would be ~2600 rpm in 2nd.

Hey guys thanx for the help. I started shifting later and it helped out alot. I still feel as though my bike is slow. But it may be just me. I went to the stealer today and they told me with a stage 1 and pipes the bike should already be fast. I guess he thinks thats enough. How can i tell i have a stage 1 a/c the tech told me when i said how do you know he said you have no plastic back plate.

You may just need to tune the carb for what you already have, it may have never been done properly to begin with. A poor tune can squander a LOT of power.

Hey thanx for the help. The carbs were rejetted for the bubby pipes and stage 1. I got a question. I want to switch to a 2 into 1 pipe and get a round 4 inch k and n intake from figure machine. Do i need to have the carbs rejetted yet again. Also can some one tell me of an indy shop that is good on labor coast and they trust. I live in glendora. thanx again.
