A little late, but I had my lower forks and instrument console powder coated and since I didn't want to deal with any color issues, I made the arrangements through the local dealer. The dealer sent over a HD part and instructed the powder coater to match the color. Sure it probably cost a little more, but it saved me any unnecessary hassles.
