RE: Willie & Max Throw-over Bags...
dert,
I checked out the River Road bags you recommended and I like them! They list 3 sizes:
12"Wx9.5"Hx6"D
14"Wx12"Hx6"D
12"Wx10"Hx5"D
Can you tell me which ones you had because I'm not really interested in doing a signal relocation?
Any help you can provide is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Thumper26

RE: Willie & Max Throw-over Bags...
I couldn't tell what kind they are, but I've got throwovers (zip ons) for my '05 xl 1200C. I wanted bigger ones than was supposed to fit the bike, so I took them to a local leather shop & had the yoke made smaller for $10. With the zip on bags you can actually buy a smaller yoke with some companies. I hadn't seen any scratching after a few months but eventually I did put a shammy under it to keep from happening. I love them. ...oh & they saved my paint job when I went down.

This is awesome, for the first time I didn't have to search the archives to find a string. I am thinking about getting saddle bags also, but don't know anything about them. Do they make certain bags for different bikes, or are they universal fit?
Thanks,
Ed
