Amy here is a prelim sketch of my idea. Let me know if this is on the right track and I will continue with shading, etc. I was thinking that the lace flames would look nice if they were shot through a real piece of lace overlay. Chip Foose uses this technique quite a bit. If you are unsure as to what I mean I will post a picture.

Chip Foose rocks- I first met him at a rod run here in LA when he was still a teenager. He does great work. My favorite was a all steel Model A truck that never got painted. Talk about a talented individual!

Am I too late to throw in my .02? How about a pink-toned camoflauge? OK, I'll shut up now.

That looks cool. I ahd thought of something like that in my head. I am not sure what you mean by the lace thing and would like to see a sample style pic if you know where I can find one.

That was a sketch I did at work...oops hehe. I will do a refined sketch for you that will be colored as well. Did you want a top-o-the-tank graphic as well?

As for the lace thing... you do the base coat of the tank black.. then mask the ribbon/flames. Cut them out to expose the black. Lay a fabric lace over the mask and spray on your base of pink. Pull the lace off and the lace pattern is now stenciled on the area where the ribbons are in pink. Candy over that and then airbrush your shadows and highlights. It would be badass with a touch of femanimity(sp?). Hopefully after I get a better mock-up done you will have a better idea.

No I only want it down the sides. I do want to add a little bilng by useing some sort of glitter in the paint. I had originally said I wanted it to glitter like a bass boat.

I do like the sound of the lace thing. I bet it would look cool. I can't wait to see your pic.

And by the way.......thank you for taking the time to do this for me.

No problem babe. Here is a full size maskable rendition. Hope you can use some or all of it.

Not this weekend. I brought my new baby home today and I have been playing with him all day.

I love the idea you drawed up. I printed it out and I am going to show it to our airbrush guy. Thank you so much and I will keep everyone posted as soon as I get it completed. I think since I am not one to ride in the cold and my riding time is out for a while, I am going to hold off on painting it just yet. I want to see if I can come across a tank. Of course I am not a very paient person so we will see.
