Just tried them out this weekend and I have to say I enjoy the ride more without all the wind noise. I used a standard size foam earplug, cut in half. I can push them in as tightly or loosely as I want to control the amount of noise.

The only time I wear ear plugs is when I'm on the interstate. Especially when heading into the wind.
