Anyone have highway pegs on their Sporty?
I have forward controls and I want to add something further up so I can stretch out on trips. What does everyone recommend and tell me what you like and works well for you. I am 5'10 and I feel a little cramped riding long distance with my feet on the forward controls. Thanks. Please post pics!

Cramped on "Forward" controls ?
an yer 5' 10"
Ok If you say so,,,
Look for sportsters with the crash bar, google em, people put pegs on those.
That would get yer feet way up and out front. Certain peg mounts can go
anywhere on the crash bars.
Check J&P cycles,,there are crash bars shaped for feets

I'm 6'1 and i don't feel cramped with mids. I do want to put some highway pegs on at some point although. HD's prices theirs at 200 bucks which i find outrageous and that doest include the pegs themselves. Cost more if you buy there crash bars and bolt on pegs as well.
You can get those adjustable mounts on e-bay for around $90 in chrome. I found a used set for $50 and had them powdercoated black. Having mids and adjustable highway pegs is a perfect set-up in my opinion.

These are pics of Kuryakyn "Dually" pegs on the HD engine guard.
Being able to change-up your leg position, does make a huge difference if you actually want to do some serious traveling.
And Osco, unless you're "vertically challenged", forwards on a Sporty, aren't that far forward. My feet are on the forwards in my sig pic, and my legs (32" inseam) are anything but stretched out.

I have a 34" inseam and my foward controls feel like they are right below me. I've got a set of highway pegs on my wish list for the summer, so I'm also looking for some ideas and suggestions.

Yes same set up as Charley
I also have a c with forwards. On one of my early long trips I put them on mid trip. I was in NH. The whole way there I want a place to stretch. That and a windshield were my early comfort mods. I already had a crash bar. At about 15,0000 I finally upgraded my seat to a sundowner. Glad I did.
The highway pegs allows me to switch my feet around which keeps in the saddle longer on a day. Factory forwards aren't very forward.

Ok thanks for the input everyone. I live 20 miles from J&P and it seems most of the options they have say "won't work with forward controls". I would like to go with a mustache type of bar and put whatever pegs on it I want to. I may have to look into the engine/highway bar type then. Thanks again!
