My setup is much the same as Charley. The advantage to it for me is I have a size 13 foot. This means I can stretch my foot between the forward controls and the highway pegs with my heel riding on the forward controls and my toe resting on the highway pegs. Not quite as good as floorboards, but close. It gives me 3 riding positions - the forwards, the bridge, and hanging off the highway pegs...
