Default Ouch my A$$, Best Looking/Most Comfortable Seat for Nightster?

Hey guys,

Just got of a 2 hour ride and man does my rear end kill. Still using the stock seat and im guess this has a lot to do with it. In your opinion what is the most comfortable seat without giving away the cool nightster look? lets see some pics!

How long have you had your bike? The first couple weeks my *** was killing me after a couple hours of riding, but after that the seat started to get broke in and now the only reason I am going to replace it is I need to be able to throw a bitch on the back.

Mustang seats seem to be pretty popular on these boards. I have never road with one, but they sure feel nice just sitting on them.

+1 on the Mustang vintage solo (12.5"). I paid &176 through Dennis Kirk including shipping. It sits you maybe an inch higher, but that's because the seat actually has padding. Now the seat pan doesn't kick me in the a$$ when I hit a good size bump. I think it keeps the Nightster's old school look, which was also important to me. I don't have any pictures right now, but I'm sure someone will put one up shortly.

I'm getting my seat done by JP Custom Seats by my house. The guy does excellent work and I'll post pics of my custom cafe seat once its done this weekend. You can always give him a call and see if he can make you one or play with your current one (maybe add memory foam. He does great work and great prices.

On the mass produced ones, like everyone said, Mustang makes a very comfortable seat.

A couple of different options-

Get better rear shocks

Get a seat pan with seat shocks

Yeah, he's just too cool......

Anyway, back to the question at hand. After a few 5 - 8 hour rides I am looking for a new seat as well, but can't give up the look. I tried out the Mustang Tripper Solo last weekend (they were a vendor at Bike Week and letting you put them on your bike and see how they looked and felt) http://www.mustangseats.com/Product.aspx?ID=888. I thought this seat looked pretty good on the bike and it felt great, I was just a little concerned that it did not have much of a "pocket" to slide back in like the stock seat does. Hoping someone on here can pipe in that has one and let us know how it feels on a long ride???!

I also sat on a Le Pera Bare Bones. It actually felt a lot better than it looked like it would. Looks wise it is an awesome seat. I'd love to also know how this one feels after a long ride, even though their website clearly says they are NOT for long rides. I'm wondering how they compare to stock. http://www.lepera.com/seat_pgs/v3_Sp...l.php?SEATID=2
