alright, so when i ride my bike, it dies shortly after i take off! (slow or fast) then won't start, i can turn the key off and back on and it will start up again! If i don't turn the key off and on again it won't start at all! anyone had this problem? So i actually made it home turning the key on and off at 60mph for about 5 miles! I have a 02 883r 1200 conversion with l.e.d. lights on blinkers if it makes a difference. any opinions would be appreciated if any of that above makes sense! thanks
Could be something with your Tilt switch. The key off and on sequence will reset starting circuit after bike tips over. Maybe the tilt switch is out of place.
Could very well be your switch, bad connection or loose connection.
I you have a loose connection, the draw in Amps becomes greater at the switch causing the switch to heat-up and breaking connection.
Could be a loose battery connection. Dont scream saying NO WAY!!!! Yes way, crazy things like that happen with a bike I know about. Carried it to the dealer many times and they gave up on finding the problem. Another dealer tightened the battery cable and problem was solved.
