Why not get a 1200C instead of settling for a bike with limited suspension and ground clearence. The 1200C would be a much more satisfying ride. But that's just me.

Right. That's just you. That's not the bike she wants.

Thank you for all your comments! I originally thought I should just purchase the new 2011 and everyone's suggestions just reaffirmed it. I'm going to one more dealer on Thursday just to browse, but I definitely plan on bringing home a new bike next week sometime and pictures will shortly follow!

The used bike I was looking is currently at Brian's HD, I've heard good and bad things about that dealership. I remember when Mill's closed, if I had the money at the time I would of bought a bike from them-- right now I'm looking at Ocean County HD. I've heard great things about Barb's but it's kind of a hike from my house-- I'd like to go there, I just need to find the time.

Good luck! I had my chance to get one about a month ago but it didn't happen. I'll try next year again. Enjoy your ride and don't forget to post picture after you get it.

Like any dealer, there's good and bad stories. I've personally never had any problem at HDOC in Lakewood, they've been great to me even after sales. My original salesperson was Jason Gamba, good dude. Tell him he sold me an Iron back in '09.

Agree w/most...go for new...especially to get the 2-yr warranty, in case something goes wrong (you're covered). Also, this way you can "personalize" the bike to your taste. Good luck, ride safe & break 'er in right.

Hands down get the new one. Both my bikes have the ECM under the seat and it sure does limit the seats you can get for it. Plus new is always the way to go if you can.
