I have experienced both problems with my 2010 "48". Both the bad low fuel sensor and lurching problem in first and second gear (cold and warm engine). Started after putting about 200 miles on the bike. Prior to that...no symptoms. I am also using the X14ieds. I have an appointment with the dealer soon. Can report back if helpful.

Still sounds like you guys are tryin ta let the clutch all the way out
at real low speeds.
Remember thats a wet clutch and you can ride In the friction zone all ya like.

I see bikes surgin and bobbin all the time at bike events,,doin the slow roll
I see bikes movin smooth as silk also,,,those guys are in the clutch XD

I see guys In traffic tryin ta do 10-15 mph In second,,I think they are In second,,
hand off the clutch,,, bike jerkin an lurchin,,,just sayin.

Also I did my first clutch adjustment at 2,700 miles,,,It needed It and I take great care with my clutch.

Got a buddy with EFI 1200 riding experience ?
Let Him ride It...

If It still does It,,,dealer time..

You'll be mighty embarassed If you go to HD and they ride It an It hauls ***
just fine...

Common Mistake with New riders on Torque based engines Is to Under rev it
or over throttle it even when starting off.

My buddy was right about to take his Nightster into the dealer for similar problems. He let me ride it and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I told him he was probably shifting too early and then made him ride on the back so he could listen to the engine as I rode.

Bet that fixed him up just fine,,,good call.

Most new Sportster owners,,especially new 1200 owners think that
revvin up will do no good or do harm,,,
I think they Is just Chicken...

A sportster,,,at least the 1200's are meant to be yanked on,,
as long as you learn to be smooth.

Whats the red line on a 1200 ?
I have a tach and never been there,,no power up next to the limiter,,

But there Is an Assload about 1,000 rpms below that.

You get a 1200 up between 4,000 and 5,000 rpms while yer
havin Twisted sex,,,er I mean while yer In the twisties,,It's like sex..

Yeah thats It,,thats what I Meant XD
