Hi folks

I took my 07 Nightster out for the first time last Thursday and it was awesome! I'm hooked!
I don't have an owners manual yet, but will be ordering one shortly. For the time being, I wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem.
After 10 or so miles, wee stopped to get gas and I shut the bike off. Filled up and went to start the bike and it would crank but not start. The oil light and Check engine light where lit on speedo.
I had plenty of oil, so i couldn't see a problem there. After a couple minutes, I did get it started and the check engine / oil light finally went away. The bike didn't act weird, so I'm stumped.

Any suggestions?

Could you hear the fuel pump priming?

 

There is a sticky at the top of this forum that will instruct you how to download the diagnostic codes your warning light is telling you exist. It's easy to do, and very informative. Follow it - find out what the code(s) are trying to tell you, and get back to us.

 

I can hear the pump priming. I'll look at the codes and see what I can come up with.
