I have but Im going to try the air shocks first. My dad just added Arnott air ride to his Street Glide so I scored his stock shocks for free. So Im going to give them a shot. In all honesty after the spring seat I noticed a huge improvement, so much so that swapping shocks was checked off my list. I just ended up with a free set so I figured why not.

that blows man ... I did something very similar with my iron the first day I got it ... pulled off to the side of the road to check my phone because I was on call ... put kick stand out and took both hands off of the bars ... forgot to put it in Neutral and she shot out from under me hahaha i went down with her tho so it didnt hit completely only scratched the bottom of the stock exhaust ... **** happens !

Jimmy... I got a chance to seat on a 48 at the dealership.. and the seat, although it looks cool ... it is so freakin' hard!!... I also recommend a spring seat.. I have been thinking about the AirHawk pad for riding long distance.. also... the stock handlebars can be a source of back pain... have you considered mini apes?...

I'm sometimes on my sporty 8-10 hours a day. SG air shocks made a big difference.
Mini-apes helped, 2.5" riser extensions made em perfect.
Along with my forward controls and highway pegs it's almost as comfortable as a touring bike and I am good for about 500 miles a day.

I have thought about some RSD Vintage Short Stacks or something similar. The RSDs are just freaking expensive, and the handlebar swap is something I'd try later on down the road. I want to get the seat and some performance changes done first.

At least you laid it down in a less expensive manner than I did. 20mph through a corner and a patch of Glycol in the blind spot. Slid about 30ft. dislocated my shoulder bruised my hip and ribs. The bike took the brunt of the damage coming out to a little over $1700 total. The shocks are all up to you and what sort of ride you want. I have the narrower bars from the Iron on my Nightster (great for lane splitting) but, they do cause muscle pain between my shoulders on long rides (100+ miles). Try doing a little stretching beforehand that may extend your riding time.
