I have an 06 1200C with 13.5" shocks and 1" lowering blocks so net of 12.5". No problems with the kickstand.

I can't imagine there would be any issues. Think of the geometry.

The added length on the shock has a net vertical gain of about half the difference in shock length.

Then think how when you lean the bike over that this really doesn't significantly alter the triangle (when viewed from the front/back of the bike) of bike, jiffy stand, and ground.

I have burly lowering shocks and can not ride 2 up. I'm about 200 pounds and my wife is 160. What other lowering shocks are 10.5 inch but with stronger springs that will handle 2 up riding. I need the bike lowered since im short. Im 5'6 with a 27 inch inseam. The only other shock I found was a air suspension kit but I really don't want to spend $800.00. Thanks for you help

So is it even worth it to change to progressive shocks if you keep the factory length? I love the factory stance of an Iron, but wouldn't mind a better ride.

Works Performace street trackers are a better option.

Progressive springs have a crossover point,,often met while just sitting on the bike
and the rider weight range per spring is limited.

There could only be a cross over point if you had the capability to swap springs in the middle of a bump. The whole idea of a progressively wound spring is for the spring rate to change gradually as it is compressed.

I just picked up a set of the 13.5" 440's for my wife's sportster on a trade. Right now her 883L has the 412's in 11" I believe. fI fidn teh ride of teh 412's harsh at the height they are no matter how adjusted over certain bumps. We'll see what kind of difference the 440's in a taller height will make. I'll report back in this thread as this seems to be "the " discussion. Also, teh 412's will be for sale when they come off. They are chrome.

I have had the HD 412's on my bike for over 2 yrs now, bought them used from a member here. I ride 2-up about 30% of the time. I love them, not to sturdy on solo (I am 220lbs) and perfect on the 2-up rides even with the tour pak loaded up!. I have adjusted for the pak and load from time to time, no prob!
