Default Engine cover cleaning on Nightster

My engine cover on my Nightster is starting to look as though it's collecting dirt and such....

What can I use to clean the crinkle paint?

I don't use water to clean my bike....the previous owner litterally stored the bike in his living room, but the dirt/dust like particles bother me - it just looks dirty.

Thanks ~ lildee

This has been talked about many times, the grey engine cases stain very easily, you can either live with it or find a rattle can of black engine paint and cover it all up.

On a cold engine, use a citrus based cleaner/degreaser with a stiff nylon brush. After the engine is dry, apply a coat of S100 "Engine Bright". This will freshen up the powder coat and prevent dirt from sticking.

when I was looking at used bikes - several people I met would hose their bikes down with water all the time and I noticed a considerable amount of rust (usually on the bottom or spokes on their bikes).

Thanks for the tips....I appreciate it! ~lildee
