I wanted to know if anyone with an 883 2004 has ever had the oil cap start to leak? I bought my sporty used and the oil cap always pops up when I'm riding. I am going to HD sometime soon to get a replacement. I was just wondering if this was a 2004 883 issue.

 

Get the twist-in with temp gauge. Lot easier to take out and put in. Plus it don't have that spring release so it won't just pop out on you.

 

i had problems with mine seating the right way to where it was flush, not sure if this is what you are having problems with, with my problem i found out it was better to lube up everything and give it a good really hard turn to get it turned to where it needed to be.
